ABOUT

I am an American textile artist living and working in Paris, where weaving is both my practice and my meditation. Self-taught, I approach weaving without prescribed rules or constraints; I am guided by curiosity. I weave on a rigid heddle loom as well as multiple hand-built simple looms.

Through “le tissage,” I explore the balance between structure and spontaneity, between order and intuition. Each piece brings together geometric discipline and free-form expression. While I am often drawn to neutrals, my works embrace the interplay of color, tone, and texture. The outcome is, I hope, pieces that have depth, invite touch, and offer moments of stillness, warmth and imperfect beauty.

“Once A Pawn, A Knight…”

A whimsical children’s book I wrote and illustrated that follows two of the chess pieces (the Pawn and the Knight, of course) in a narrative about self-discovery and friendship across the chess board.
